FIFTH RACE

-

AM PREPARED lagged behind the field after a tardy start before making up some ground for fifth when coming off the sidelines in a similar inner turf tilt. He got the job done in his only other inner turf excursion, and his trainer scored with a longshot here the other day. LETTHEBIGHOSSROLL has worked okay since ending up seventh in a fast $25K NW3 dash a month ago on the Tapeta. FLASH OF SILVER is taking a weak turf pedigree into this experiment, but the son of Flashback could take this field a long way on the front end. CERRADO was seventh among three next-out winners the last time he started Nov. 1.

SIXTH RACE

DANCERS GHOST wasn’t a factor in a recent maiden special route, after ending up second in a seven-furlong sprint at this lesser OS/$40K level in his season opener. The move back out to 1 1/16 miles for his third start back could be a winning one. GUESTIMATION has been idle since a bias-aided second going long Nov. 17, a race which contained two next-out winners. CREATIVE FORCE is stretching out off a pair of fifths while changing surfaces to the Tapeta. The blinkers go on, and there’s ample stamina on the dam’s side of his pedigree.

SEVENTH RACE

LOOKOUT LOUIE had significant early trouble before ending up sixth at 3-1 in his latest, after a solid second at first asking in another $25K maiden sprint. The 4yo is a half-brother to a route winner, and could find his niche around two turns. SHANGASSAH took the long way home when third off a freshening while returning to the local scene on the grass July 5. MR. TODD is bred to handle the stretchout, and HELL BENT is a wild card in his first non-turf start.

EIGHTH RACE

DR. GREEN blew away the opposition last time on the inner turf before getting his number taken down in a controversial disqualification. He was recently supplemented to the Queen’s Plate, and shouldn’t mind going back to the Tapeta here in his third career start. VELOCE closed belatedly over a speed-favoring track to edge out the top pick for third in his return. He was a close second in both of his two-turn attempts last year. L’ETAT never challenged after a troubled break in his debut in a maiden special turf sprint. The Germanbred possesses the pedigree of a router. OWEN’S SOUPER MOON is donning blinkers for his second start off the shelf.
