BEST BET: RACE 2, JERSEY DIAMOND

FIRST RACE

DYNA’S GAMBLE put away the other speed after getting squeezed at the break in a convincing score over $7.5K maidens in his latest. He’s a great fit in this bottom NW2 tilt from a Beyer perspective. BLESSED TWO hung late after looking the part of a winner when second for the second straight time at this level July 12. AMNESTY benefited from an inside bias when third vs. similar the last time he saw action Dec. 15.

SECOND RACE

After breaking a tad slowly, JERSEY DIAMOND rushed up to set the pace along a dead rail before tiring to fourth when favored on debut. He could make all the running in this shorter sprint with the hot second-leading rider Stein back in the saddle. GIANT ATTRACTION forced the pace before weakening to second in each of his last two excursions, and is jumping up off a claim. CANADIAN SECRET was hard-ridden before landing on the edges for the second straight time two weeks ago. Wilson takes over and is 4 for 10 at the meet for the barn.

THIRD RACE

PURRSUADE ME pressed the pace before fading to fifth after getting bet down to 2-1 at first asking in a maiden special. She could rule the roost vs. these $25K maidens with that tightener under her girth. CIGARILLO is by a high-percentage firstout 2yo sire in Alberta. She worked thrice from the gate for a successful debut trainer. FEDERAL COURT is another dropper from maiden special company who should have a say in the outcome. Lasix is added to the daughter of Fed Biz.

FOURTH RACE

ZOOMER MUSIC finished on the fringes in both of his outings at the meet on different surfaces. He might be ready to put it all together thirdtime back at what could be a square price. IN A TWIST recorded his fifth runner-up placing after saving ground in a shorter sprint at this level when returning from an 11-month absence July 5. SECRET PATH regressed off his good comeback

most recently when a non-threatening fourth. Use him underneath in the exotics, along with KING CAUSEWAY, who’s adding blinkers for the turnback from a route.

FIFTH RACE

UNLIMITED TALENT is by the good speed/debut sire Souper Speedy, and his dam dropped a stakesplaced juvenile. He’s worked seven half-miles here since wintering in Ocala, and goes with blinkers and Lasix. FOREST SURVIVOR is plunging from open maiden special company after running hot and cold in a pair of short dashes. The likely favorite is going on Lasix while picking up Husbands. OLD HABITS is also getting some class relief, but note that his trainer has a low win percentage with maiden second-timers.

SIXTH RACE

BEL BIMBO is descending from $25K NW3 company to an inviting spot for his third start of the meet, while changing surfaces to the Tapeta, over which he beat NW2 stock two back with a 76 Beyer. THE KIPPY TRAIN and PINK LEMONADE are two sharp front-runners who could duke it out until deep stretch. SILVER SHERIFF has worked bullets on the training track in preparation for his first race since November. He could pick up some of the pieces.

SEVENTH RACE

HANIEL lacked room on the far turn before going on to topple $25K claimers with a career high 75 Beyer over this course and distance in her local debut three weeks ago. The consistent mare is a good fit in this starter handicap, in which she’s the 124-pound co-highweight with STOP WHO’S THAT. The latter is getting some noteworthy class relief after struggling against allowance/optional-claiming company in her two appearances at the meet. Note that she won a $40K seller over this layout in September. MIZZONA figures to be the dominant front-runner in her first try around two turns in nearly three years.

EIGHTH RACE

FIRMLY GROUNDED was blocked on the turn before going on to crush $15K maidens as the heavy favorite three weeks ago. He could strike again in this $15K NW2 sprint with Kimura retaining the mount for Tiller, a successful combo. FAHRENHEIT is dropping again for his third start off the sidelines, and should join the fray with Salles taking over. WAVE WARNING rallied wide from ninth to beat $10K maidens in his July 3 seasonal bow. Use him on the bottom of vertical wagers, along with a dropping SUITEDCONNECTED.
