BEST BET: RACE 5, MIMI’S SONG

FIRST RACE

BAQUERO’S BIND kicks off the last day of racing here. His sire gets 20% debut winners. His dam went 23-3-2-2 and earned 29K. Lone sib is 11-22-1 and earned 22K. Works are well spaced while most recent a bullet. WAR RULES is by a 11% debut sire. His dam went 58-11-9-8 and earned 125K. This is dam’s first foal. Homebred has a slew of works. DREAM TWISTER ran much better last out and did so at 48-1. Last chance for a good price? He draws a tad better after being stuck on the rail previously. HEATHER’S REQUEST is by a 1 for 16 debut sire. His dam went 34-3-5-2 and earned 53K. Two of three sibs won with both having beat winners. CALLINGINTHENIGHT is by a 0 for 25 debut sire. His dam went 34-5-5-6 and earned 102K. Four of

five sibs won. CYBER FLAME is by a 0 for 11 debut sire. His dam was un-raced. Both sibs won with the best earning 28K. GOTTATAKEHIMTO is by a 0 for 1 debut sire. His dam went 5-2-0-2 and earned 47K (won 2YO debut). This is dam’s first foal.

SECOND RACE

AL SHAMKHAH goes second off the layoff and second time this dirt all for a good barn. Those Lone Star tries 2 and 3 back would win this if duplicated. Race flow isn’t the quickest if looking for a knock. MANY SWEET TREATS tried first time turf two back and won. Then she tried first time winners previously and ran evenly while beating over half the field home. We think she is still improving and figures a good price today all with some sneaky speed. OUR SLICK CHICK is in good form, has solid figs, draws fine, and cuts back to an elongated sprint. This barn does show a flat bet profit going route to sprint. Yet to try 7 furlongs is a small knock.

THIRD RACE

THEBOYZGALAXY is in good form, draws well, keeps regular jock, finds a good spot, and gets state-breds again. MAGIC VOW goes for a new barn that is 35% off the claim. This gelding should get a trip like his last few as there isn’t that much pace in this race. A wet track would tilt the playing field in his favor. First time this dirt is the X factor but really not that big a one. BET AGAIN might offer some value. We like the stretch-out off a layoff. If this gelding sends, he might put a front end scare into this field. Distance breeding is solid but this outside post hurts a bit.

FOURTH RACE

DIVIDED has been claimed from her first two starts and that is something we don’t see very often. New crew waste little time finding this filly a turf route. Sire gets 9% debut turf winners. Her dam went 8-0-1-0 on the green and earned 5K. One of three sibs won on the weeds with another hitting the board. The blinkers come OFF and that is a 3 for 10 move for this barn. They are also 0 for 17 with first time grass runners. GLITTER TIME ran OK on this green in her last few. Turf breeding hints at further improvement. Outside post hurts a little. LADY KING is just better on the green and often at big prices. That was a Beyer top last out. I’LL FLY AWAY is by a 1 for 16 debut turf sire. Her dam went 21-3-1-3 on the green for 102K. One of two sibs won on the green (1 for 1 for 7K). BET ON DEE is by a 13% debut turf sire. Her dam went 13-41-1 on the green for 94K. Two of five sibs won on the grass with anther two hitting the board.

FIFTH RACE

MIMI’S SONG has speed and goes for a new barn. We like that Guerrero stays put. This filly draws outside main pace foe. Trainer stats are good across the board and all are 20% or better. TEN COUNT OUT often gets play. Second time with team Broberg can only help. This mare loves shortened sprints at 10-4-2-0. OH TOODLES drops in class and gets back to sprinting. Turf try two back was actually OK. What if she just needed her return try three back? Delta and Fudgie (FG) wins earlier in the year speak for themselves.

SIXTH RACE

QUICKPAY finds a good spot and goes for a great barn in Asmussen. Lone Star form is fine. This filly has some tactical speed and gets first call rider in Dominguez. The absolute one to beat. HALLAJOORI has speed and goes second time turf. Recent sod try was OK. This barn is 18% sprint to route. I GOT WINGS should be a price. Sire gets 18% debut turf sire. Her dam went 28-2-1-5 and earned 93K on the green. One of five sibs won on the grass with another two hitting the board (debut winner). SMITTYS EYECANDY is by a 9% debut turf sire. Her dam went 14-7-1-2 on the green and earned 373K (won turf debut). One of four sibs won on the sod with another hitting the board.

SEVENTH RACE

HALF AGAIN is the inside speed and he should hold the rail into the turn. Hard trier gets back to statebreds and goes for a top barn in Faucheux. Recent bullet work is noted. SILVER GALAXY does have some upside with this being only his fifth start. This colt draws much better today. Slow start couldn’t stop this colt last out. Form cycle hints at better. Lone knock is that race flow isn’t quick. ROSE’S GALAXY gets back to the dirt where he got an 80 Beyer three back. The blinkers go ON and this gelding figures a decent stalking trip.

EIGHTH RACE

PURIM KING closes out the meet. Turf tries 2, 4, and 5 back all fit here. If this comes off then even better. This barn shows a flat bet profit dirt to turf, on the green, and in routes. SHARPENDUP won at this distance only two back. Second off the bench can only help. Win rider returns in Green. GATO AMERICANO does have some speed. Here is another that might like it if the umbrellas come out. There is rain on the horizon. Current form is sharp and this horse gets in light again. CHEESEBURGER is by a 9% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green and this is her first grass foal.
