ANALYSIS

BEST BET: RACE 8, CORLUNA

-

FIRST RACE

The multiple stakes winner Corluna makes an appearance later on the card in the allowance feature for fillies and mares on turf. In the opener, ROGALLO is appealing as one who started his career in Southern California. TAPALIST represented himself quite well last out in his first start against winners and is a logical choice back. SIR SMACK exits a race that went quick, while another of interest is the comebacking GOOD SCOUT.

SECOND RACE

PRINCESS PHONE cuts back to one turn after showing speed around two, and that can be an effective move with a horse. VESTAL is another turnback prospect, and she’s also a fresh horse as this marks he first start since February. BAD AT LOVE was second in a recent turf sprint at Lone Star Park and since the start has worked a bullet three-eighths at Remington.

THIRD RACE

LILLY BELLE moves back to two turns here and figures to make good use of the added ground as her best recent finishes have come at this mile trip. MISS COFFEYVILLE makes the move to two turns for the first time and gets pedigree support for the task at hand. MISS ORATORY must overcome

the wide post, but should be sharp off the seveneighths start. Some of her best races have come at this mile trip. Another of interest is GEORGIANO.

FOURTH RACE

VIVA LA SECRETA is a consistent sort who figures to make good use of the bit of added ground she picks up in this spot. MISS AGGIE BLING must meet more experienced rivals off the N2L win last out at PrM. She’s won two of her last three starts. LIGHTNING BUG cuts back to one turn and the last time she raced at the configuration she was a winner.

FIFTH RACE

CHIKARA has represented herself well in each of her starts against winners and owns what ranks as this field’s best last-race Beyer Figure. MIZZANNA ran a competitive race off the maiden score last time and returns to the Remington course over which she has some established form. XINGFU must deal with the wide post, but has class appeal as one who has been facing steeper.

SIXTH RACE

TOUGH COMPANY and PORT HUNTER finished a respective second and third at this distance and level Sept. 5 and are logical choices. PAST VISIONS has class appeal as one who has been facing steeper. He also has an age edge on top two as he is 4. The question here is the two turns.

SEVENTH RACE

ALEX’S BOURBON shortens up some in distance and her natural speed would seem to serve her well at this five and a half furlong trip. In fact, her last two wins came at the distance. COUNCIL RULES is appealing for her consistent nature. She’s looking for career win No. 15. Hickory. MISS PHOTO figures to be strong through the lane on the cutback from a mile. The last time she went route to sprint she was just edged - in a photo.

EIGHTH RACE

CORLUNA, who is a multiple stakes winner in her native Texas, represented herself well against open stakes company last out at Remington. She shortens up some in distance here and the move would seem to suit runner whose two career stakes victories have come over seven and a half panels. QUICK QUICK QUICK finished in front of top choice last out, running second in what was her first loss after three straight allowance scores. She’s appealing for her versatile nature, as she’s been effective from both on and off the pace. DECORATED ACE exits same race as top two and owns a series of competitive Beyer Figures.

NINTH RACE

POLICY LIMIT moves back into the maiden ranks off a pair of restricted stakes starts - one of his efforts a stakes-placing. He’s further appealing as a February foal. TAPPED TO THE MAX brings excellent speed to the table and could prove to be the one these will have to catch. DECLARATIONOFSPEED shows some strong five-eighths moves for his debut, and seems like a promising sort whether today is his day or not. Bred for more.
