BEST BET: RACE 6, HALLIES DREAM

FIRST RACE

APPOLINA exits a quick race against steeper, and is further appealing as a winner over the main track at Remington. FLEETA BELLE has run third at this level in each of her last two starts and is a logical choice back. MADISON’S QUARTERS ran a big race on the cutback from two turns to one last out and is now 1-for-1 on the main track at Remington.

SECOND RACE

STROLLING was third last out in a quick race and the start came at Churchill Downs. He is making his first start at Remington and brings with him the field’s highest last-race Beyer Speed Figure. LITTLE AVENGER is the picture of consistency, running first, second or third in seven of his nine starts this year. His three wins so far in 2020 have come at this five and a half furlong trip. ONOMATOPOEIA comes in sharp, as a winner of back-to-back races at Remington.

THIRD RACE

RONALD DALE has moved forward with each of his starts at the meet and could be sitting on a peak effort here, in his third start since February. POMEROY HAZE shortens up a tad in distance and his natural speed should serve him well on the turnback. JENNA’S GUN RUNNER faced steeper in his most recent start. This marks his third out since July.

FOURTH RACE

JEANO returns to both the Oklahoma-bred and maiden claiming ranks and the last time he faced such foes he ran a big second in his career debut - at 54-1! MY RED ROCK showed good speed in his career debut and would seem to have reason to move forward for the experience of a race. MARVINS GOLD is by a stallion who gets winners early. This one has been working right along at Remington.

FIFTH RACE

LASTCALLFORALCOHOL stretches back out to two turns here and he ran a credible second at this distance two back at Remignton. The start was his first in close to three months. SANDMAN’S LEGACY has a nice foundation of races for the move to two turns. NORTHCOUNTY WILLY closed from off the pace for third in his debut and gets pedigree support for the move to two turns. He has a high percentage trainer-jockey team in Von Hemel and Quinonez.

SIXTH RACE

HALLIES DREAM has run second and third against similar this meet and seems due to graduate soon. She also owns the field’s best last-race and career Beyer Speed Figures. NO LETTIN GO cuts back to one turn after showing speed around two, and that can be an effective move with a horse. JUSTPLAINJANE can be closer to the pace than she found herself last out at Remington.

SEVENTH RACE

THORNISH has proven adept at this seven-eighths of a mile trip, which can be a specialist’s distance. He also draws a post that might give Cabrera options. HECOULDGOALLTHEWAY figures to be strong through the stretch on the cutback from two turns. READY OR NOT was third last out, finishing right behind THORNISH.

EIGHTH RACE

CALL KRYSTAL ran a promising second in her career debut and for the effort earned what ranks as this field’s bet last-race and career Beyer Speed
