BEST BET: RACE 3, DROPPED ANCHOR

FIRST RACE

COOL HAND COOP gets nod in opener coming off slow starting 3rd last time, should get a little more speed to run at today. BAHAMIAN PRINCE back to what appears to be his preferred surface following prolonged and puzzling absence from the turf. NO NAY MAYBE looks like speed of speed back on the grass, missed a half length while earning career best effort this summer at Monmouth.

SECOND RACE

Looking at the new faces to this one starting with class plunging GONE TO CABO who debuted at just 7-1 against MSW opposition this summer in N Y. Posted near bullet drill for this, gets Irad up. FLUMMOXED debuts off series of five furlong main track drills, with enough breeding to suggest she’ll handle the inner. SAMURAI FIGHTER back to the lawn, should benefit from her experience and previous outing going a mile on the turf.

THIRD RACE

DROPPED ANCHOR one of several class droppers to consider. Dueled winner, paid price late while catching wet track to boot in debut. May be long gone for this tag. ZIGGY outrun vs. MSW company launching career last spring but working well for return, might offer some value off the bench. CONVERTER finished third of nine despite setting contested pace two back, should be fittest of the bunch off pair of seven furlong outings.

FOURTH RACE

MISSING LINK comes off career best effort on graduation day when defeating a couple of next out maiden breakers to boot. Works say ready for another big effort off the freshening. FOOLISH HEART one of only two multiple winners in this lineup and the controlling speed, perhaps, if he handles the turf which is perhaps the key to outcome of this event. CAN’T BUY LOVE wanted no part of wet going our stakes company last time. Ran away to easy win vs. MSW competition, this distance, in career bow. Back to more suitable spot today.

FIFTH RACE

BRITISH EDGE broke tardy, got bumped leaving the gate, did well to prove easy second best behind runaway, 6-5 winner at first asking and training well for return. Looks best of experienced ones although facing a number of promising looking first time starters including both R ADIOS JERSEY, who has a bullet :47 work on resume’, and ELLIEREESEASTON , who has also been training forwardly, it appears, for her bow.

SIXTH RACE

BORKAN held own in company in the a.m. this summer with Big Everest who ran solid second in lone try on turf at the MSW level in N Y Barn has been on a roll with its young ones over the past several months. CHESS’S DREAM the logical choice returning to grass off dull wet track showing in the In Reality. Was beaten a neck by now multiple SP Castle King in bow. TORETTO has enough early foot to make him dangerous if able to clear off after being hard used in early speed duel last time.

SEVENTH RACE

BAHAMIAN BEAT looks like the quickest of this bunch stretching back to six furlongs. Might not look back. DIAMONDS ENJOY dull over wet track when dropping back into pack early on of most recent outing. Returns locally, expecting big
