BEST BET: RACE 2, LYONAISSE

FIRST RACE

I’MTHEBOSSRIGHTNOW has been right there in each of her last three starts and two of those races have come against open company. She now returns to the Oklahoma-bred ranks. PRINCESS ASYA boasts a 3-for-6 career record and also owns the field’s best last-race Beyer Figure. GP’S AMAZING GRACE figures to be strong through the stretch on the cutback to one turn.

SECOND RACE

LYONAISSE ran a fine race on the cutback from two turns to one last out and also could be sitting on a peak effort here, in the third start of her form cycle. SALACIOUSACUSATION was a winner at a distance similar to this six and a half furlong trip last out at Remington. UNEXPECTED STORM meets winners for the first time off a dominant score for which she earned what ranks as this field’s best last-race Beyer Figure.

THIRD RACE

ON THE BRIDGE is in the midst of a productive meet, and might get a decent setup behind a few of these. POPFLY TWO SIX moves back into the statebred ranks after facing higher-priced foes last out at Remington. SYKED UP won in good time last out and for the effort earned what ranks as this field’s best last-race Beyer Figure.

FOURTH RACE

DON’T FORGET was third to a quality kind of winner last out on the move from turf to dirt and for his effort earned one of his best career Beyer Figures. UNITED PATRIOT exits same race as top choice, a race in which he contested the pace to the later stages. He might be best served if the strip is fast this time around as his last three wins on form came on fast tracks. CHOCOLATEICECREAM goes turf to dirt and he’s had success on the main track in the past.

FIFTH RACE

CATSKILL GHOST launched her career last out with a promising runner-up finish and the 5-year-old mare would seem poised to move forward for the experience of a race. WHATEVER COMES seems like one who will make good use of the bit of added ground she picks up in this spot. FUNKY JUSTICE has reason to move forward in her second start since September.

SIXTH RACE

STRUM M B should be sharp for the move back to two turns off the sprint start. He’s put up his best Beyer Figures to date in route races. OKLAHOMA LINE is appealing for his natural speed and useful kind of post. JUSTINS OMEN meets winners for the first time and brings with him the field’s best lastrace Beyer Speed Figure.

SEVENTH RACE

U S SPECIAL FORCES exits a useful comeback race in which he showed speed before finishing fourth at this level. He would seem to have reason to move forward in his second start since July. LARCH shortens up a tad in distance and owns a series of competitive Beyer Figures. SENOR BLAIR was a sharp winner for this price last out and looks like the one to beat. Another of interest is KATS SECOND SILVER.

EIGHTH RACE

DUTCH TREAT invades from Churchill Downs, where she split a field of high-end starter allowance foes in what was her first race in more than two months. For the effort she earned what ranks as this field’s best last-race Beyer Figure. DIXIE MO was second against similar last out and is a

logical choice back for the high-percentage team of Fleming, Asmussen and Elliott. UPGRADE ME has won races this year at Louisiana Downs, Lone Star Park and Remington Park. The wins have also come on dirt and turf.

NINTH RACE

BANDIT SWANSON represented himself well last out in his first start against winners and his consistent nature makes him appealing. DAK DA MAN seems best served with pace to fuel his run and there is some concern whether he will get the fractions he needs up front. At the same token, sprint-to-route prospect SOMETHING SUPER could help in the pace department. He might push the rail-drawn SHWEET PERSUASION.

TENTH RACE

KNIFES EDGE could be sitting on a peak effort in the third start of his form cycle. He’s also appealing as one who has spent much of his career racing in Southern California. CLIFTON PARK was right there at this level last time, and the winner was a quality sort. RUNTECH must deal with the widest post, but has the speed to get position into the first turn. More than capable.
