BEST BET: RACE 3, WICKSTERS DREAM

FIRST RACE

LEASE and DEMON drop out of Mira Mission race from which 3rd finisher returned to win a maiden $50K over the weekend. Former took the worst of the trips between the pair in their previous meeting, gets nod to reverse that decision breaking down near inside in rematch. MR. EINSTEIN gets blinkers and Lasix for second start while aggressively placed off the claim for top connections. Expecting improvement at second asking.

SECOND RACE

BERHANU back to the main where he showed speed vs. MSW company earlier in the season. Did not get the cleanest of trips when knocked back early on making first start for current connections in a race which produced recent maiden winner Kasim. Addition of blinkers, Lasix adds to the allure. FRIAR TUCK working reasonably well it seems for local bow and another getting some class relief dropping to this level for local debut. THIS DUDES NO FOOL very logical after turning in a pair of seconds vs. better at two.

THIRD RACE

WICKSTERS DREAM, the day’s best, no match for Reservenotattained who Beyer in the 90’s winning off easily in 2yo finale and came back to win again at 2-5 last week. Not facing that kind today. Need only repeat the effort to get back on winning track. LUDINGTON might prove a bit of a sleeper having switched barns for local return. Held own with same kind in June, working well for this. CAUSALISTIC drops for half the price he was claimed for in March. Been away a long time after beating much better off that claim and lures Irad for the occasion.

FOURTH RACE

BIMINI turns back to a sprint after showinbg speed, fading late vs. much better last time. Expecting a little wake up call in this spot. BEAST OF WILDWOOD a bit of a hanging sort although while knocking on door with this same kind in last three starts. Missed a nose to 7/5 Markistan in 2020 finale. WORTH AVENUE getting some much needed class relief. Veteran mare knows how to find the winner’s circle. Re-unites with Zayas who guided her to easy win vs. much better last summer.

FIFTH RACE

VOTER PROTECTION hard to ignore moving in against state bred competition for the first time after finishing third of a dozen behind next out stakes placed Fighting Force. Adds blinkers. Need only secure a trip to graduate. DREAMING OF AUDREY worth a look at the price making third start of form cycle after enduring tough trip, finishing strongly after getting shuffled to rear of pack midway through most recent outing. CREATIVE CLOUD has held own with some decent company in the a.m. and is kin to turf winner Sky Knight. Not facing the toughest MSW field around.

SIXTH RACE

ARRIVEDERLA exits even effort vs. same company last time but capable of running late from off what could be a very honest pace scenario. SOLDOLLIE hard to fault in current form, dueled, was second best behind odds on R Mercedes Boy last time, will have Rough Entry to deal with on the lead today. STARSHIP APOLLO another who should come running late if this one ties up as expected at the end. Numbers on the upswing lately off the claim.

SEVENTH RACE

SPILL THE TEA steadied back early, raced greenly through the stretch while beaten only two lengths by 8-5 Phantom Vision debuting at five furlongs. Stretches out, should race forwardly placed around two turns, might be good enough to spring

the mild upset at second asking with a trip. GABBY

SQUARED turned in even try debuting in N Y and another getting a chance around two turns for first time here. Logical with any improvement. BROKEN

TABLE did not have the best of trips after checking early, falling far back in only previous try. Must respect with a race under her belt for red hot J/T combo.

EIGHTH RACE

ARTIE’S RUMOR ran well despite all sorts of troubled in the Claiming Crown while in peak form at the present time. Irad stays. One more chance in a wide open field. DANCETERIA a G1 caliber horse two years ago in very capable hands for U S bow with addition of Lasix likely a major plus. Could prove bit of a sleeper. MONARCHS GLEN turned in well graded tally across town vs. softer. Must prove he can repeat the effort over this course.

NINTH RACE

SIDARTH overcame tough post, wide trip to win maiden impressively when shedding shades last time. Well spotted to take another despite cut back to one turn here. HERCULES getting ample class relief and major rider switch with Irad taking the call. One to fear. HANGAR ONE hard used contesting pace in 2yo finale. Drops a notch, might hang one for at least a share.

TENTH RACE

STORM BOARDER checked back to rear of field, virtually losing all chance facing much tougher than he’ll encounter for this tag. Galloped out past the whole field after wire, looks like the sort eligible to improve with one under his belt. Might offer real value if able to work out a clean run. MAI TY ONE ON a big question mark off the layoff and drop into selling ranks after posting some big Beyer Figs against far tougher here last season. One to beat if close to his best. DONNELS CREEK ran very well behind in form Vice Versa who flattered this effort winning his next two starts including open $25K dash at CD. Big question the switch to grass although synthetic form says he might handle the green quite well.
