SIXTH RACE

-

BIG WHISKEY is by a 11% debut sire. His dam went 18-6-6-0 and earned 354K. Lone sib is 1 for 1. Lots and lots of works and we like Enriquez up for Hone. CURBSIDE PICKUP broke last in his debut but still ran OK beating three home. He got some play at 9/2. NoCal invader ends up with Evans who is 31% with new runners. INDIAN GAMBLER has proven front speed and goes third off the layoff all while drawing outside. He adds a full furlong which actually helps theft chances. MARQUE IT UP exits a key race where 2 of 4 returned to win with figs of 44 and 40 (another finished 2nd with a 57 Beyer).

SEVENTH RACE

CENTERGEE exits a key race where 2 of 8 returned to win with figs of 72 and 67. What if this gelding simply hated Remington Park? Those three starts to begin his career are all very good (Will Rogers). This gelding comes in fresh and should show some speed. That bullet work on the 19th bodes well and tells us that this guy likes it here. PAROLEE exits the key common race where 2 of 2 returned to win with figs of 60 and 68. Current form is rock solid and we know this gelding likes this dirt. New route horse? Mmmmaybe. LATIGO RIO exits the same key race as our 2nd pick. This gelding has speed and draws inside main pace foes so his is the best chance to clear off.

EIGHTH RACE

YO Y ME ran better 1 and 3 back. He was washed off the turf two back and was shipping in from Chicago so pick your excuse. New barn is 45% off the claim. This horse loves an elongated sprint distance. REMEMBERTOBREATHE just ran a little better but did so on the turf where he has had marginal success. This horse is often good odds. Enough pace to keep things fair up front. CREATIVE ART is a 21 time winner that has always liked this distance. Current form isn’t the best but this guy could wake up at any time. We trust the Davis barn.

NINTH RACE

BALTIMORE BEECHO did face much better in SoCal before the layoff. His return try two back wasn’t much but his most recent was better. Another step forward while third off the layoff makes the most sense. INQUISITEUR just likes it here as he is 6 for 6 in the exacta. He won’t get as fast a pace as last out but is still an improving runner that finds a logical spot. LEATHERNECK cuts back a half furlong with solid figs in tow. At times, he has some tactical speed and since there isn’t that much pace in here he shouldn’t be that far off whomever guns early.

TENTH RACE

ITS A BOY just ran better at 11-1 and isn’t done improving. We have always loved the grass breeding for this gelding. Form cycle hints at better and Mawing knows him well. THORN HILL CAT just ran great and now goes second time this sod. Turf breeding is actually good so why can’t he continue to improve on the local green? CROW MOON is stuck outside but does have some speed. There isn’t that much zip in here. Weight break helps with front end try.
