BEST BET: RACE 3, THIRD TIME AROUND

FIRST RACE

DUEL FUEL beaten less than two lengths by recent open $20K runner-up Pugin two back. Did not get the best of trips last out. Ready to graduate with the right trip in this spot. NOW A JAGUAR getting another class drop following even try vs. better in decent turf bow. Good fit here. EL TABERNERO ONE finished just in front of Now a Jaguar in their previous encounter and another eligible to move forward off inner course bow.

SECOND RACE

CLASSY BEAST the class of this field dropping to bottom for first time on dirt. Figures forwardly placed throughout. STARSHIP BLANCA turns back in distance off series of longer outings and did finish third in lone try for this tag. Should be picking up plenty of pieces at the end. MISS OVER THERE back to proper level after being overmatched last time.

THIRD RACE

THIRD TIME AROUND gets full makeover, blinkers and Lasix while back for straight tag after even showing vs. tougher and faster starter types last time. Could prove speed of speed if let loose by Paco right from the start. QUEEN CALYPSO an improving sort exiting best yet beating a full field of a dozen on graduation day from just off the pace, a style which could suit him well if a pace duel develops. VIKING QUEEN another who’ll need some early help shortening up off series of mile outings. Only multiple winner in the field. Just a question of whether she can get up in time.

FOURTH RACE

PALADIO with four wins on the resume’, far and away the best of this bunch, with Beyers continuing to head in right direction at this time. Should get enough pace to run down at his best. AL HEYBAY the key to this one exiting bit of a surprising layoff off the stakes placing in Tampa and now showing up for a tag with only one published work on resume’. Should be part of early mix with Awesome Beach. THINKABOUTIT back to the main after holding own with some solid starter allowance types on turf. Another who figures close throughout stretching to six furlongs.

FIFTH RACE

TRY ME should have a pace advantage if breaking cleanly after chasing in form Awesome Beach during early stages last time. Might get brave if allowed to shake loose as expected. LAST MINUTE DEAL PERSONAL MEADOW strictly one to fear dropping for this tag. finished a length back of Converter for second money last time, the latter winning a maiden $20K by 5 lengths in most recent outing. PERSONAL MEADOW appears to h ave some speed from recent a.m. trials, deserves a look debuting for this tag.

SIXTH RACE

GRAINGER COUNTY continues to hold form well since switching to grass, well spotted on drop for this tag. Will have to beat FRENCH REEF who also plunges to bottom off a couple of troubled trips off the claim. Class of field but a beaten favorite in five straight outings. FRONTIER MESA a new face to the category. Average breeding for turf but does exit a key raced that produced pair of next out winners.

SEVENTH RACE

BREAK BEAT could have an edge pace wise in a field lacking much in the way of any early speed. Could return quick dividends off the claim despite class hike if able to control this one from outset. FREEDOM’S FLIGHT drops to weakest level yet second off the layoff. Too good for these if near

his best. CONVICT PIKE logical off near miss behind 4/5 Traffic Pattern for similar tag last time.

EIGHTH RACE

Siding against Assume Control who had things all her own way when beating this same bunch last time. SHE TAKES HEART rallied mildly coming off extended layoff exiting the aforementioned race, could be ready for improved effort with that one under her belt. GRACE’S DRAMA did not kick on in most recent but has won several of these open bottom level claimers going a mile in the past. Key player if at her best. ASSUME CONTROL obviously very dangerous if able to repeat latest but likely to get early pressure from Bahamian Girl and/or Flashing Diamond.

NINTH RACE

MONARCHS GLEN a six time winner although distance the question here. Has the speed to sit nice stalking trip behind projected pace setter Epic Bromance returning to level at which he posed 97 Beyer winning at nine furlongs last fall at GPW. BLUEGRASS PARKWAY proven around three turns but getting bit of a class check here. JAIS’S SOLITUDE the class of the field but has been idle a long time, might need one off the bench.

TENTH RACE

SETTING THE MOOD getting ample class relief following series of unlucky trips vs. much stronger. Should be along in time with these. FREDDYMO FACTOR got bottled up in traffic, surged late to gain second money again in most recent outing but has the speed to perhaps try to steal this one if aggressively handled early on. STORMY DERBY DAY hung wide, made nice middle run, flattered late finishing a neck behind Freddy Mo in their most recent encounter. Right in mix at the end with cleaner run.
