FIRST RACE

The card Thursday features sprinters in a conditioned allowance worth $106K. In the opener, OMI TEN shortens up a tad in distance in a move that seems to suit runner. She also is making her third start since November. CHEWY CHEWY GOOD stretches back out around two turns after being part of the pace sprinting. Suspect her speed will help her secure position into the first turn from this wide post. INNERVOICE was second at this distance last out at Fair Grounds.

SECOND RACE

DEFENDER ran one of the best races of his career two back, and it came at this distance at Oaklawn. In his most recent start, he hooked a quality kind of winner. COAL TRUTH is a stakes winner who finished right behind two of the same in his last start at Oaklawn. BODE’S MAKER is back at a mile and the last time he raced at the trip he put up his best career Beyer Speed Figure. Another of interest is CATDADDY.

THIRD RACE

DESTINEDTOBEASTAR is indeed working his way back into the winner’s circle. He has moved forward with each of his starts this year and with the return to Oaklawn gets a shot in a race restricted to fellow Arkansas-breds. BOO BE RIGHT was right there against similar last out and is a logical choice back. YOUNG BULL removes blinkers in what is a high percentage move for Broberg, according to statistics from Daily Racing Form.

FOURTH RACE

CONTACT TRACING draws an improved post over his last start, when he was beaten just a neck after breaking out of the 10-hole in a two-turn race at Fair Grounds. WICK brings good two-turn experience to the table and is back with straight 3-year-olds.

FIFTH RACE

TALLANDLONG makes the move to two turns off a pair of runner-up finishes in local sprints and she gets good pedigree support for the added distance demands. VERY SPICY has a nice foundation of races in advance of her two-turn debut. NO DIRECT MATCHES moves to two turns and gets pedigree support for the task from her sire.

SIXTH RACE

JETS A GINNIN is a winner of three of her last four starts and all of those races have come at sprint distances. The wins have all come wire-to-wire and note she did not get the break last out, coming away last of all when ending up third in her first start at Oaklawn and first start since December. SHACKLEFORD COUNTY drew well and owns one of the field’s best last-race Beyer Speed Figures. She’s from a stakes-winning mare who ran out $283K. KASSERINE PASS was a stakes winner at this distance at 2, while her dam was a stakes winner who earned $106K. This one was second against similar last out and is a logical choice back for barn on a roll this meet at Oaklawn.

SEVENTH RACE

PARKIN IN THE REAR is appealing as a two-time winner facing some less-experienced rivals. She also has natural speed and a post that might give Court options. Further, the winner and third-place finisher from the race PARKIN IN THE REAR exits have both been entered back in Saturday stakes at Oaklawn. MELTING SNOW cuts back to one turn here and looking for her to be making her case through the lane. She’s another two-time winner, with one of those victories coming at this six furlong trip at Oaklawn. CREDIT ENHANCEMENT is back at Oaklawn, where she was just edged by top choice in February.
