SEVENTH RACE

There is very little zip in here which is unusual for a shortened sprint. Let’s look at the outside runner in BLUE CHIP BETTY who may prove quickest even though she cuts back 1 1/2 furlongs. Main pace foe is the rail but there is no guarantee that she will break sharp from there. This mare could crack the inside speed and keep on keeping on but we would rather see a clear lead turning for home (who wouldn’t). WRIGHT WINGED has some speed but we think that she takes back today just like that good effort three back. Musical jocks continues with Martinez named today. SINCERE WARNING showed some speed off the layoff but then tired. We don’t think she will be as sharp with her front speed second off the long layoff but like a lot of these the break means everything.

EIGHTH RACE

ADDISON BOOM is a new turf horse that jumped from the lowest level of maidens going one turn on the dirt to a two turn top of the maiden ranks turf win. He did so at 27-1. The value should remain as he faces first time winners. He got good race flow in said maiden win and gets it again today all while saving all the early ground from his inside post. VROYSKY is the speed. Current form is fine but he has lost two in a row as the chalk. Remember that horses on the turf at this level often take turns beating each other. WILL YA WIN SUM is the value. His lone win did come on the grass. He goes second time this sod while Uske is a very good fit for this closer. OFFICER OF WAR is by a 0 for 3 debut turf sire. His dam never tried the green nor did lone sibling.

NINTH RACE

MORE SMORES exits the key common race where 2 of 2 returned to win with figs of 70 and 52. This mare did little in her return try but that is fine as it was her first here. We like this inside post and added distance. This horse won going a flat mile just before said layoff and did so at 5/2 so it was no surprise. This mare is a sharp 5-2-1-0 when going this distance. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY exits the same key race as our top pick. Here is another that goes sprint to route and this barn is 19% when doing so. They are an even better 41% off the claim. Outside post hurts just a tad. ISLE BE GABBY has some speed, upside, and draws well.
