FIRST RACE

Carlos L. and Lone Oak, who finished a neck apart in the Temperence Hill, get a rematch later on the card in the featured ninth race, which will be run over a mile and a half. Fun stuff. In the opener, PROUD VICTORIA is appealing for the fact that she split a field of steeper rivals last out in a race that went in good time. The winner is a quality sort. MANY SWEET TREATS might be tough to handle if she runs back to the Beyer Figure of 74 she earned two races ago at Oaklawn. JOY IN THE JOURNEY could be sitting on a peak race in her third out since August.

SECOND RACE

CALL DISH moves back to two turns for her second start of the year, and seems like a candidate to take these a long way on the lead. SIXTH RACE

RIVER ECHO should be sharp for the move to a mile and an eighth following a fast-closing third at a mile last out at Oaklawn. As for the added ground, he was edged in last year’s Trail’s End, the traditional mile and three-quarters season finale at Oaklawn. DARREN’S FORTUNE is the one to beat as a winner of his last three starts. He is backing up in distance here, from a mile and a half. He owns the field’s best last-race Beyer Figure. WAGON BOSS seems like one who will make good use of the added ground he picks up in this spot.
