CANTERBURY

SIXTH RACE

NICENO is bred to love the grass and all of her wins have come either on the grass or synth. She did lose as the favorite in her most recent but it was washed off the green. Plus, she is now fully acclimated to here. Race flow is fine and we like that HH keeps the mount. AMALFI PRINCESS just missed on this sod last summer. She draws nicely and goes third off the layoff. A return to routing can only help and this filly is only a 4YO. SARANYA just ran a Beyer top at Keeneland. Works are perfect. This filly won her only local start. We bet this horse is better now. Full field helps all exotics.

SEVENTH RACE

STREET READY figures a great trip with all the speed lined up in this stakes race. He gets to save all the early ground. Works are .... perfect. This gelding ran a Beyer top only two back so he is still improving. Local rider gets a leg up in Fuentes and he is riding quite well. MR DUMAS can pass runners and is in good form. This horse often gets play and we like that his regular rider makes the trip in Gutierrez. Hard trying horse runs with Lasix today and some of his better tries have come with the diuretic. MY INDY will be a price. We were tempted to pick him higher. He is capable of big tries on the turf and often at a good price. Forget his return try in the mud. Lindsay was up two back when this guy ran a Beyer top of 90 at Turf Paradise in a grass stakes.

EIGHTH RACE

Here is another stakes race with a lot of pace. BENS MALICE is a new turf horse that is 2 for 2 on this sod. He can pass runners and figures a good price. He owns a recent work and figures as good a trip as anyone. HEAVEN STREET has some speed but maybe, just maybe, that puts him just off a hot pace but in front of the closers. Works are well spaced and he goes third off the layoff. We bet that Castellano is a good fit for this horse. XAVEY DAVE can pass runners and goes for Mac Robertson who is having a huge meet (35%). Team Robertson is 26% in stakes. Chirinos gets a leg up and is 30% for this barn. This colt does have some upside and is bred to like the green.

NINTH RACE

GONE A LIL LU HU can fire fresh as he broke his maiden off a layoff. Works are fine and we like this outside post. This gelding is often a great price and gets in light with the apprentice up. DEVOTED TO YOU goes for a high percentage barn and has never missed the board on this dirt. This gelding has speed but can stalk. Curious as to price.

WESTA WAVERLY drops in class for a good barn. Said barn is 22% second off this type of layoff. Negron gets a leg up and is 29% for this barn.

TENTH RACE

OUTWORKTHEOKIEGIRL draws the attack post and should trip out best. Her most recent was better than it looks. Hernandez stays put and this filly adds a full furlong. SPEEDY ENOUGH missed a Beyer top by only 3 points last out. Second time with this barn helps. State-bred is the only multiple winner in the field. PRICELESS MIRACLE is the value as she sits at 15-1 on the morning line. We just like her work tab. She broke her maiden going this distance and on this dirt. Main knock is that this 7YO has only raced five times and is stuck on the rail.
