TURF PARADISE

-

mare wants to pass runners. We expect a good price. CHEROKEE PAPOOSE did win her only race at this distance. This mare can fire fresh and likes to win in general. MISSCZECH drops in class and is the outside speed .... maybe. Added half furlong with HH up tells us the front end is wanted. We do spy some back class.

FIFTH RACE

SAYERS broke dead last in her most recent but still beat a few home. He gets good race flow as we count three with front speed in this race. Second time this dirt can only help. Added distance is a big plus.

ELUSIVE LOVE gets off the rail where he broke 8th of 9 previously. This guy can pass runners, draws fine, goes third off the layoff, but will have to break in a new pilot. ETU BABOU just ran a little better. He has some good tries in Canada that would fit nicely with these. A recent work is noted.

SIXTH RACE

MACEDONIAN RULER only lost by two lengths in his most recent but he had a troubled trip. His back class is easy to see. This gelding has done all of his winning on this sod. Da Silva knows him well. Race flow is fine and this gelatin gets to save all the early ground from his inside post. PINTXOS ran OK last out but still finished 2nd as the big chalk. He goes second out for new barn and keeps the leading rider. We wouldn’t be shocked if this guy wanted the front end. RIVER ROSE has won on this sod before. The distance is no problem. Toss that dirt try three back and this guy looks a little better.

SEVENTH RACE

FOREVER GOLD has some speed and draws the rail. Why can’t he duplicate his wire to wire win from three back where he drew the rail? This guy is a different horse when afforded an early breather. There just isn’t that much pace in this race. D K’S

CROWN just ran better and did so at this shortened sprint distance of five furlongs. This gelding has hit the exacta in 10 of 24 career starts. He loves a shortened sprint at 10-4-2-1. WICKED BLUE just didn’t fire last out and now switches barns. Team Silva is 21% with new runners. New jockey is 0 for 13 with this barn. MIDNIGHT DRAMA exits a key race where 2 of 2 returned to win with figs of 58 and 43.

EIGHTH RACE

MISCHIEF MAME is by a 19% debut sire. Her dam went 27-2-4-8 and earned 31K. Both sibs beat winners including full sister Mischief Mama who is 30-3-5-2 and earned 72K. Jan 6th work was 3rd best of 57 while Dec 23rd work was 2nd best of 43. Don’t those fast works tip hand? State-bred will cost you 30 grand if taken so this spot makes perfect sense especially for a barn that is due for a win. BLESSED ANGEL has good speed and could find the front end in this spot. First Lasix can only help while works are quite good. EDDIE’S ON

PATROL is often right there and has hit the board in 4 of 7 starts. She cuts back 1 1/2 furlongs but does have some tactical speed. STARDUST DREAMS is by a 8% debut sire. Her dam went 10-1-1-0 and earned 22K. Two of three sibs won with the best a multiple winner of 23K. This filly is a January bred so she holds an age advantage over many of these. TAKIN SHOTS is by a 13% debut sire. Her dam went 4-0-0-0. Of 6 sibs to race, 4 won.
