AROUND THE HORN
Twins: Twins shortstop Carlos Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, a day after sustaining an oblique injury in their 8-2 loss to the Tigers. Correa was hitting .306 with a homer and four RBIs in 11 games and had an .876 OPS. The two-time All-Star was replaced on the 25-man roster by catcher Jair Camargo, who was hitting .268 with two homers in 11 games for Triple-A St. Paul. Willi Castro is expected to get most of the playing time at shortstop. |He is hitting .103 but got the final out Friday night after switching to the mound.

The Yankees improved to an MLB-best 11-3 — 7-1 on the road — and equaled their best record through 14 games. They’ve been 11-3 in 11 other seasons, most recently 2010.
Rangers: Rangers reliever Brock Burke broke his non-throwing hand while punching a wall following a poor outing Friday night against the Astros. Manager Bruce Bochy said Burke, who is a left-hander, broke his right hand when he punched the wall “out of frustration” and was placed on the injured list Saturday. The 27-yearold allowed three hits and four runs in the seventh inning of his team’s 12-8 win. “We want our guys, our athletes to be competitive and hate to lose, but with that passion there’s a fine edge, and when you cross that line there’s going to be consequences,” Bochy said. “And we just saw what happened there. You love the fact that he was upset with not helping the club last night … but it just wasn’t a smart move.”
Rockies: Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant left Saturday’s game at Toronto in the fourth inning because of a stiff back. A four-time All-Star and former NL MVP, Bryant crashed into the outfield wall after making a catch on Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s deep drive in the first. He doubled in the second before striking out in the fourth.
Blue Jays: Daulton Varsho hit his second career grand slam, Yariel Rodríguez struck out six over 3 ⅔ innings in his major league debut and the Blue Jays beat the Rockies 5-3 on Saturday.
