In reference to the commenter stating that we need to re-elect Gov. Bruce Rauner and get more Republicans in office, my statement is: No, we don't need Rauner or a Democrat who is too stubborn to compromise in one way or another. We need a governor who knows how to govern, not one that takes our credit score down to negative and not one who stops paying the bills because he didn't get his way. We need a governor to give us back our good name in Illinois. The bottom line is we need a governor who could work across party lines and bring jobs to Illinois.

Some people are moving but not too far away from Illinois. They're moving to Indiana because its cheaper. Why not let unions work for us? Have them set up training for those who are lacking job skills instead of looking for only those who are experienced. For incentives, give companies tax breaks. Money will come back because you'll be moving people off government assistance. Something is better than nothing because, as of now, we're living in a state that's treated us like lemons by squeezing us until slowly we are drying up. In other words, what we now have is Plan A. It's time to draw up Plan B.

Some are concerned the planned redevelopment by Tinley Park's Oak Park Avenue train station will detract from the historical downtown area. Sadly, with so many deteriorated buildings, that charm is long gone. Hopefully, this project will be the reset button that could reinvent the downtown of Tinley's future, stand tall with pride, and invigorate neighboring home and business owners to spruce up and make necessary improvements to their properties. Tinley Park To Bob or anyone doubting my claim about Major League ticket prices, check the website for the Chicago baseball team closest to Oak Forest. One ticket offer is called Bleachers and Brews and the other Family Pack. Have fun. Vern, Orland Park
