St. Baldrick’s Kids Helping Kids Drive. The following items are needed: art materials, fuzzy socks, big or small jigsaw puzzles, water bottles, activity books (crosswords, word searches, coloring books, etc.), playing cards such as Uno and active toys (Matchbox cars, Nerf guns). Frankfort Hickory Creek Church, 10660 W. Lincoln Highway:

All God’s People ministry to aid homeless people in the Chicago Loop. The church sets up a distributi­on center at State and Van Buren streets to hand out clothing, blankets, toiletries and food. About 500 people are served. Informatio­n: 815-469-9496.

Mokena St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11120 Second St.:

Easter Egg Hunt about 11 a.m. March 19, after the worship service, sponsored by the Children’s Ministry. The egg hunt is for children who are toddlers through fifth grade. Register at 708-479-5123.

Oak Lawn Pilgrim Faith United Church of Christ, 9411 S. 51st Ave.:

Lenten community meals continue at 6:15 p.m. Wednesdays through Lent in the Family Life Center. Offerings will go to support the Pathway to Sobriety program at

The group, designed for those caring for loved ones with dementia, aims to provide support, offer practical strategies and include a Bible study.
