New Pizza Hut opening in West Point
This upcoming Friday, January 6 at 10:30 a.m., the new West Point location of Pizza Hut is celebrating its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting.
The Pizza Hut, which will be located at 7003 Hwy 45 Alt N, is going to be hosting this ceremony to celebrate doing business in the West Point community once again.
Many members of the West Point community were excited to see Pizza Hut return to West Point after the former location closed in the fall of 2017. The former site, also located on
Highway 45, is now home to a Japanese steakhouse. However, Pizza Hut lovers still missed the pizzas they knew and loved.
Then, in 2022, progress began on the new Pizza Hut location. The ground was broken on the new site in September 2022.
“Proud to announce that our new Pizza Hut has broken ground next to Relax Inn on Highway 45. This will be a dine-in facility,” Mayor Rod Bobo said on September 14, 2022. “Welcome back Pizza Hut! We're building back West Point!”
The new Pizza Hut building, which has been a work in progress since September, is now complete. This Friday, the new location will be open for business, allowing citizens of West Point to enjoy their pies once again. Starting at 10:30 a.m., the media and other fans of pizza will be gathering outside of the building for the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
According to Lisa Klutts of the Growth Alliance, the ceremony will include several statements from local and corporate representatives for Pizza Hut.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will also include an appearance from Brandon Walker, who is currently with Barstool Sports, and who formerly worked as a reporter for the Daily Times Leader.
