Sherry Ann Wooten Prather

-

Sherry Ann Wooten Prather departed her physical body on Sunday March 19, 2023, following a short but serious struggle with heart disease. She was born on October 5, 1964 in West Point, MS. Sherry was a loving and brilliant person who set an example of love and generosity. She attended Oak Hill Academy, Mississippi University for Women, and Mississippi State University. She possessed a lifelong love of learning, and instilled that in her four children. She loved ALL children, and especially enjoyed her time working as a reading tutor for the West Point School District.

She is predeceased by her parents Alice Ann Greenwood Wooten and Lucian Edward Wooten.

She is survived by her husband Felix Prather of York, AL; her children, Sarah Prather DVM (spouse Daniel Landrum), Marianna Prather Chauvin (spouse Russel), Cara Prather Dyer (Spouse Wesley), Nate Prather (spouse Courtney); brothers Lucian Allison (spouse Linda), Shannon (spouse Paula), and Buck Wooten (spouse Lori); granddaughter Darcy Rain Chauvin, and a second granddaughter due in May. She will be missed terribly, but her family takes comfort in knowing that she is finally at peace and reunited with her beloved parents. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please honor her memory with the gift of organ donation—her donation will restore the gift of vision to the recipients of her corneas. Please make monetary donations to St Jude Children's Hospital, Samaritan's Purse, or First Christian Church of West Point, MS.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday March 25, 2023 at Robinson Chapel. A visitation with family and friends will be 1-2 PM Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home.

Friends may leave an online condolence to the family at robinsonfh.net.
