Cheryl was raised in Yeadon, Pa. where she was a 1967 graduate of Yeadon High School.
Cheryl later married Albert H. Guy and had 2 daughters. Her family later moved to Chester, Pa.
Cheryl was previously employed by the Bell Telephone Co. in Upper Darby, Pa prior to retiring due to illness.
She was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Darby, Pa. Cheryl was later married to William Angry. Prior to her illness
Cheryl enjoyed cooking and exchanging recipes with family and friends, listening to “the oldies” and R& B music, dancing, and most of all spending time with her family and friends, especially her daughters.
Cheryl was predeceased by her parents Thomas P. Thornton Jr. and Gloria C. Thornton ( nee States), her brother William C. Thornton, III ( Bill) and former husband Albert H. Guy.
Survivors: her husband William Angry, 2 daughters, Gina Guy Derrickson ( Keith) of New Castle, De., Dawn Guy of Wilmington, De., 1 grand- daughter, Chentell Derrickson of Newark, De., 1 sister, Darlene C. Thornton and 1 brother, Thomas P. Thornton III.
Memorial service: in celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held on November 17, 2012 at 2: 00 p. m. at the Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, Pa 19026. www. arlingtoncemetery. us
