Stinson leads Miller’s Ale House to twinbill sweep
Peewee Stinson did not play like a Peewee player on Sunday, hitting three doubles and a home run as the Miller’s Ale House Heavy Hitters defeated Della Polla’s Tavern/ Gramlick Construction 9-8 in Game 1 of their Delco Independent doubleheader. Nick Repici went 6-for-8 including a tworun shot in Game 2 to give the Heavy Hitters a 13-6 win to complete the doubleheader sweep.

In Game 2, Chris Diemer homered and Steve Gallagher showed off the leather with some strong defense as Maggie May’s got the victory to split the doubleheader. LEFTY’S II 22-8, KEYSTONE 2-7 >> Mike Kingsbury racked up six strikeouts on the day and Mike King had the walk-off single in Delco Independent Game 2 for Lefty’s II. Chris Hoffman poured in three doubles and scored seven runs while Jeff Wahner had three hits and four RBIs to lead J.D. McGillicuddy’s Brookline past the Casey’s Ridley Park Peacocks 19-11 in Game 1 of their doubleheader. In Game 2, Hoffman continued his impressive day with four more hits and three RBIs and Brad Hermanson had three hits and three runs in a 21-11 victory to give J.D.
