A police pursuit that began in Norwood and ended in Chester resulted in the arrest of a Delaware man on DUI and assault offenses. The 24-year-old sped off about 1:45 a.m. because he was driving without a license. After making a right turn at a red light in a no-turn-on-red zone, the driver took off on Chester Pike and onto Lincoln Avenue, where nearby officers joined the chase. At one point, he rammed an officer’s car three or four times as he headed toward I-95, where he lost control and struck and guard rail. Blocked in by three officers in the rear and one in the front, the driver put the vehicle into reverse, nearly striking the four lawmen. At that point, he rammed a patrol car, rendering it inoperable.
