Get fit at National Night Out events NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN LOWER ALSACE
National Night Out was created to increase the awareness of police programs in communities. Events usually include food, music and fitness activities for children. It’s observed every year on the First Tuesday in August. National Night Out will be celebrated this year on Aug. 2. The following list is a sampling of area National Night Out events in the region (check with your local municipality as other events might be planned):
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP
When: tuesday beginning at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Where: Outside of target at 125 Witchwood Drive.
More Details: there will be children’s games, canine demonstrations, food and drinks and special guests from the local community. For more information, check www.montgomerytwp.org. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT EVENTS IN POTTSTOWN When: tuesday starting at 6 p.m.
Where: Chestnut Street Park, Armory Building on King Street
More Details: Genesis Housing Corporation in part‑ nership with the Victory Christian life Center will have a community block par‑ ty at Chestnut Street Park. the park is located at the intersection of Washington and Chestnut Streets. there will be a DJ playing music, free food, and games for kids including a moon bounce. the Pottstown Athletic Club/Pottstown CrossFit will also have a free public workout for National Night Out at the armory located at 263 King St. the event will include a DJ as well.

Where: Grace Crossing Community Church located at 248 Church St.
More Details: the Phoe‑ nixville Police Department is organizing the event. Citizens will be able to meet local fire fighters, dive rescue and police. there will be games for the kids as well as instruc‑ tional booths.
