Fairview AME Church:

124 Youngs Ave., Woodlyn, holds Sunday morning service at 11. The Rev. Gail Jackson of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Linwood, gives the word, and the Women’s Choir renders the music.

First African Baptist Church:

901 Clifton Ave., Sharon Hill, celebrates “The Response to Sin” on Sunday at 9:45 a.m. The Sanctuary Choir sings and Pastor Richard A. Dent preaches from the theme “In That Great Getting up Morning” (Revelation 6:15-17). Adult and Youth Sunday School and Disciplesh­ip classes for new members meet at 8:45.

First United Methodist Church:

350 W. State St., Media, holds Sunday worship at 10:15 a.m., followed by refreshmen­ts/fellowship. Childcare is available. The church is home to the Transition Town Media Free Store, which serves as a place to donate used items and take (for free) items that can be used or repurposed. 1321 Green St., Linwood, holds a Back-to-School Revival tonight at 6. Elder Van Burton of Ebenezer Full Gospel Baptist Church delivers the message, joined by the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Youth Choir of Linwood and Mt. Hebron Liturgical Dancers. A light meal follows the service.

Our Lady of Fatima:

South Avenue and Fatima Drive, Secane, holds a special prayer service for first responders at 6 p.m. Sunday. The parish invites all police, firemen, paramedics and EMT’s to join them, and anyone who has a prayer intention for current, former or deceased first responders. Light refreshmen­ts follow in the parish hall.

Siloam United Methodist Church:

1148 Upland St., Chester, holds Sunday morning worship at 11. United Voices of Siloam render the music, and the Rev. Esther S. Newton of Grace UM Church brings the message “The Unseen Presence.” Communion is served every First Sunday of the month. Siloam and Grace Community UM Churches of Chester are planning a joint Revival series from Sept. 8-9 and 11.

St. James Episcopal Church:
