A 37-year-old Eddystone man was arrested Friday for soliciting naked images from a 16-year-old girl over Skype, according to a release from Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan.

Bryan J. Doyle, 37, of the 700 block of Saville Avenue, is charged with more than 100 counts of possessing child pornography, corruption of minors and criminal use of a communication facility, all felonies of the second and third degree.

Detectives Edmond Pisani and Kenneth Bellis of the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division and Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Doyle’s home Aug. 3, according to the release.

Doyle was at home with his live-in girlfriend at the time and allegedly told detectives that he is the only one who uses the computers in the household. A forensic analysis of those computers revealed four videos and 46 images of child pornography, according to the release. Doyle allegedly confessed to detectives that he is attracted to minors, including 14-year-old girls.

The devices also allegedly contained Skype messages between Doyle and a 16-year-old girl. Those messages indicated Doyle was aware of the girl’s age and asked her to send him naked images of herself. The messages also indicated Doyle had a pattern of attempting to use a webcam program to trick people into thinking they were communicating with someone else, according to the release.

“This arrest is yet another reminder to parents about the dangers of the Internet and its continual use by perpetrators,” said Whelan, who thanked the officers involved with the investigation. “Our detectives with the ICAC Task Force are actively working protect our children and apprehend these individuals.”

Court records indicate Doyle was preliminarily arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Philip S. Turner and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 19. He was remanded to the county prison in Concord after failing to post 10 percent of $250,000 bail. No defense attorney is listed in court documents.
