Cabrini student delegate to national civic forum

-

RADNOR >> Cabrini University senior Allison (Allie) Stein of West Chester was one of only 150 student delegates in the nation selected to develop questions for the upcoming presidential debates.

Stein was selected as a delegate for College Debate, a national, non-partisan initiative to empower young voters to identify issues and engage peers in the presidential election.

As a delegate, Stein traveled to California in June to meet with experts and discuss ways to engage her peers in the upcoming election. During the summer, Stein worked to determine the issues that matter most to fellow millennial voters to help develop questions that reflected those concerns.

On Sept. 7, Stein and fellow delegates returned to California to vote on the top six questions to be presented to the presidential candidates during the fall debates. Top issues included income inequality and economy; foreign policy, social justice/civil rights; immigration; and education.

Stein, a communication major, is a studentathlete on the women’s swim team and the assistant lifestyles editor for the Loquitur, Cabrini University’s student newspaper.
