- JIM OF HAVERTOWN HOW TO READ REGIONAL MAP GIL FROM SPRINGFIELD CONFUSED SHOPPER JOE FROM SOUTH PHILLY CURIOUS JOE NOTHING MUCH

A BIG HELP

I would like to give Kyle Cain and the entire Kevin Cain Foundation of Havertown a big shout out for their support during our recent time of financial need. It was greatly appreciated.

A PLACE THAT CARES

Like to take this opportunity and thank each and every one of the staff at the Broomall Presbyterian Nursing Home. My mother passed there a couple weeks ago after being a patient there for almost three and a half years. They just did a fabulous job – very professional and very kind. I couldn’t have left mom in a better place. So I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of them.

ONE GOOD DEED ...

I would like to thank the lady that paid my bill at the Dollar Store in Brookhaven on Thursday, Sept. 15. I will pay this forward by donating any amount of money she used to the American Red Cross for the storm disaster relief. I hope that she see this.

WHISTLIN’ DIXIE

To “Baseball Guru,” if I’m not mistaken it was “Dixie” Walker, who played for the old Brooklyn Dodgers, who coined the phrase “hit it where they ain’t.” Dixie also happened to be the older brother of “Harry the Hat” Walker. We all remember him playing for the Phillies and he a great player.

THIRSTY FOR BEER

With October coming, where are the Oktoberfest celebrates? Are there any places in Delaware County for German music and other traditions?

WHAT A GUY

I’d like to thank the guy who came back and help me load roof shingles into my truck in Clifton Heights. When he first asked me I told him an employee was supposed to come out and do it, but they never did. He hung around in his van and when he saw me load them by myself he came back over and loaded the last five or six bundles that I had himself into my pickup.

ON A TEAR

Can any of fellow readers tell me where I can get some shredding done? I have a lot of papers here that needs shredded. Thank you very much.

FRINGE ON TOP

To “A Basket Of Intangibles,” who says that Trump’s base is made up of the fringe of the rightwing: I don’t think so. I’m in my 60s and thought I’d be a lifelong Democrat, but I switched my registration to Republican because right now the Democratic Party is alarming made up of radical extremists. All you have to do is look at what’s going on around the country and the current administration’s support of fringe groups. Look at what’s going on our campuses. Tell me again who’s catering to the fringe of their party.

A MILLION HERE AND THERE

Have you seen the commercial from Pat Toomey against his rival Katie McGinty where the opening line to make her sound like a horrible person is “millionaire Katie McGinty?” I think Pat Toomey is a millionaire too, isn’t he?

HE’S A CON

“St. Joseph’s Parishioner” said that at the Aston Community Center event, Trump spoke to them as if they were the most important people in the world. Of course he did. That’s what con men do. They take kind people like you and con them in to believing that they are something that they aren’t.

STAND TOGETHER

Anyone who would vote for a person who has no real knowledge or understanding of our great nation’s Constitution is placing party affiliation above and before our nation. America is stronger together, no matter what he says!

THE BENGHAZI JOKE

I agree with “The Dem Truth” about Republicans being vindictive. How else do you explain their waste of valuable time and waste of even more valuable tax dollars on endless Benghazi hearings. And what did those Benghazi hearings prove?
