Joan M. Turek (Conner), formerly of Chester and Glen Mills passed away on September 20, 2016 near her home in Panama City Beach, Florida.

She was born and raised in Chester, Pennsylvan­ia to Thomas and Theresa Conner (McHale) who pre-deceased her. She was a 1948 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA.

A devout member of St. Bernadette Church in Panama City Beach, Florida for 30 years, Joan was a member of The Catholic Daughters of America and an active member of the Ladies’ Guild.

She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Richard J. Turek Sr., her brother, Thomas Conner and sister, Eileen Iacono (Conner).

Joan is survived by her six loving children, Susan Barfoot (Andrew), Richard J. Turek Jr. (Sally), Teresa Turek Tweedy, Jean M. Turek, Joan M. Turek (Peter Burford) and Thomas J Turek (Mary), 13 grandchild­ren, 12 greatgrand­children, sister, Dorothy Dragoni (Conner) and many nieces and nephews.

Joan loved spending time with her family and friends and could charm any room with her humor and wit. She was an accomplish­ed artist and storytelle­r who loved to beat her husband and children in pinochle and was extremely proud of her strong Irish roots.
