Susan A. Blong (nee Boyle)

Susan A. Blong (nee Boyle), age 56, of Plainfield, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 29, 1960 in Allentown, PA.

Susan will be best remembered for her passion for faith and family. She pursued an active role in the community coaching multiple community teams, and was president of Briarcliffe Girl’s Athletic Association. Susan invested her time working at the YMCA, setting up intramural leagues and community events. During her down time Susan enjoyed crocheting for family and friends, and preparing batches of chocolate chip cookies.

Susan is survived by her loving husband: William Blong; sons: William (Lindsay), Boomer (Kelly), Sean (Andrea) and Ryan Blong; daughter: Jennifer (Curtis) Malm; grandchildren: Tripp, Vivian, Brayden, Dylan and Riley Blong and Patrick, Jack and Katie Malm; brothers: John (Bev), Michael (JoAnn), and Joseph (Renee) Boyle. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Mary Jane (nee Smith) Boyle.

Visitation held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30th, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Community Church, 2003 Hassert Blvd., Naperville.

Interment Risen Lord Cemetery, Oswego.
