John M. Lacey, Jr.

John M. Lacey, Jr., age 82, of Collingdale, passed away at home Thursday, October 20, 2016.

Born in Darby, he was a lifelong resident of the Darby-Collingdale area.

He was a graduate of Blessed Virgin Mary Grade School and West Catholic High School for Boys.

Mr. Lacey was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Korean Conflict.

In 1991, he retired as a manager from Coca-Cola after 40 years. Upon retirement, he worked in Security and Maintenance at Little Flower Manor until 2004.

He enjoyed spending time at the Shore with his family.

Son of the late John and Margaret (nee Cannon) Lacey, he was also predeceased by his wife, Roberta F. (nee Smith) Lacey, and his sister, Margie Boyte.

He is survived his children, Christine Lacey and John M. Lacey (Christina). Also survived by his grandchildren, David, Allison, Shawn, and Kaitlyn, and his niece, Carol Schmidt.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday at Little Flower Manor Chapel, 1201 Springfield Road, Darby. There will be a Viewing in the chapel 9-10 a.m. Monday. Interment at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
