HAVERFORD >> Tip O’Leary’s, 300 West Chester Pike, Havertown, hosts the annual Billy Lake Memorial ALS Beef and Beer from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 10, to support ALS research. Ticket cost of $30 until March 5, $35 at the door, includes beer, wine and food. The heated deck is open and the NCAA basketball conference championships are on 11 huge screens.

CHESTER >> Avery Sunshine & The Pointe Blank Band perform at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Chester at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30. Advance ticket cost is $60 for general admission; $95 for VIP. VIP ticket includes special seating, preconcert reception and pictures with the featured artist. Advance purchase is requested. Cost for any remaining tickets at the door are $80 for general and $115 for VIP.

PROSPECT PARK >> Relay for Life of Delaware County holds an update meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6, in the Interboro High School library. Guests may come out and hear what has been planned so far for the June 2 event.
The county Relay for Life event is held at Norwood Park, beginning at 5 p.m. June 2 and continuing through 11 a.m. June 3. Cancer survivors and cancer caregivers may schedule to have a free dinner during the relay, provided by DeMarco’s of Drexel Hill and other local businesses. Vendor spots are still open for those who would like to sell their crafts/specialties. Tables are $25 each.

Play golf, benefit Springfield S.D.
SPRINGFIELD >> Springfield Area Educational Foundation and Springfield High School Alumni hold their annual Golf Outing at the Rolling Green Golf Club at 12:30 p.m. Monday, June 12. The tournament benefit many educational programs for all students in the Springfield School District.
Several prominent Springfield staff members and coaches are planning to play in the 2017 tournament. This year’s tournament also features its traditional helicopter golf ball drop circling the golf club. SAEF invites all alumni and supporters to Rolling Green Golf Club to see old friends, meet new ones and join SHS classmates for a fun-filled afternoon of golf, food and memories.
Tax deductible, registration fees are $250 per golfer; $50 for awards presentation dinner only. Dueling school fundraisers March 18
Ridley High School and Interboro High School go head-to-head in fundraising competition Saturday, March 18. The Interboro Track Tream and the Ridley performing arts programs host The Mattress Fundraiser from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Interboro High School gym and the Ridley High School Great Hall.
Custom Fundraising Solutions’ The Mattress Fundraiser has raised over $20 million for school and other organizations since 2005.
