THANKS, PAT

Seventy-three percent of the U.S.citizens believed that President Trump should release his tax return. A congressman brought up a law that would allow Congress to force to this to happen. I see Rep. Meehan voted against this. So now we don’t get to see Donald Trump’s tax return.

NOT SO SWEET

The Philadelphia soda tax is putting the poor business owners out of business. Something has to be done. CONCERNED CITIZEN

NOTHING NEW HERE

I agree with “Hairy Situation” that these players look like bums with long hair and facial hair, but when has the MLB ever been made up of upstanding looking individuals?

SAY WHAT?

Regarding Jodine Mayberry’s guest column: In your-whole page article, you mention about various people who have benefited from the ACA. The man with liver cancer has no idea if the ACA has helped him live longer. ACA does not ensure better care. The real question is how many people may be getting help with health insurance at what cost to so many? You are willing to help 5 percent by disrupting 90 percent when you could help the 5 percent separately?

SHEAR INSANITY

Recently I called about being scammed by the 76ers with Nerlens Noel asking $20 million after this year. Now they traded him for two second round picks. The Sixers are not spending money and are not making the team better. The Phillies are doing similar things. They got $2.5 billion from Comcast and said they would spend money in 2017. Now they’re telling us to wait. We are not fools or bad fans — we’ve become sheep. BAAAH

ESCAPE FROM REALITY

Now callers are saying don’t watch the Oscars because those people are not going to show respect to the president. There seems to be a trend here. People have a choice to do what they want and believe what they want to believe, but burying your head in the sand and don’t listening to other people isn’t going to help. That’s the kind of thinking that got this buffoon elected in the first place. JUST SAYING IN ASTON

PATRIOTIC PATRIOTS

“Aston Mike” is upset about championship teams visiting the White House and voicing their opinion. What I recall is it started back in Reagan’s day to make him look like he was pals with the everyday guy. So it’s not the athletes who started this as a sounding board for their political views. Your phony guy got in there, he’s lousing things up already in the first month, and if members of the Patriots don’t want to do, that’s their choice. ASTON GRANDMOM WHO KNOWS

TRUST THE IRS

I hear anti-Trump people talking about how “he won’t release his tax returns because there’s stuff in there that could get him locked up.” If we’re talking about his tax returns, then that is paperwork that’s been filed with the IRS, which has law-enforcement capabilities – and often succeeds where others agencies fail on white-collar or mobbedup criminals. If there is stuff in there punishable with jail time, it would be dealt with whether it’s released to the public or not. It amazes me these people call Trump supporters stupid. I’m not happy with my party being hijacked by this guy, but the thought of joining the ranks of these whining, crybaby fools who only know how to send off a single W-2 and collect a refund is far worse.

WHAT A YUK

“What A Deal” obviously get the news from Breitbart. Their rant is so ridiculously untrue and so paranoid and full of conspiracy theories that it makes me laugh.

WHERE WERE THEY?

Every time you turn the TV on you here in a bunch of Democrats all crying what how they have to stand up for the Constitution. Where were they were Obama was breaking the Constitution all the time? Where were they when their policies were suppressing people’s civil liberties? Oh that’s right, they only care about the Constitution when it scores them political points. WHERE? WHERE?
