William Works Dyer

William Works Dyer died February 27, 2017 in Beachwood, Ohio.

Bill was born on October 21, 1945 in Abington, Pennsylvania and attended Cheltenham High School in Wyncote, PA. He continued his education at Lycoming College, graduating in 1968 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. After graduating college, Bill joined the Army Reserves. During this time, he was also hired by Industrial Valley Bank. Bill climbed through the ranks of the bank eventually becoming Senior Vice President of Telecommunications. In 1993 Bill began working for Key Bank Corporation in Cleveland, OH. He also served on the Board of Technology at Cedarville University. Bill retired from banking in 2005. In Bill’s spare time he enjoyed building wooden model boats and spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Graham Dyer, his daughter Kimberly Dyer Martin, his son Kevin Scott Dyer, his son-in-law Charles Martin III, his daughter-in-law Julie Kelly Dyer, his grandchildren Mason James Dyer, Riley Jane Dyer, Charles Martin IV, and Avery Elizabeth Martin, his sisters Joy Swartz and Susan Hope, his brother-inlaw Bill Swartz, and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Aubrey Dyer, his mother Barbara Works Dyer and his sister Judith Craig.

His funeral service will be held at Princeton Presbyterian Church, 933 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA. on Friday at 10:30 AM, where friends may call after 10:00AM, with the interment following at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA.
