Raymond A. “Ruffy” Rodden
Raymond A. “Ruffy” Rodden, 89, lifelong resident of Eddystone died February 26, 2017 at his home. Born in Eddystone, he was the son of the late Daniel L. and Mary Turner Rodden.
Ruffy served in the US Navy during WWII and was employed by Atlantic Refinery as an Operator/Supervisor for 30 years before retiring in 1983. He was a lifelong member of St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church and a member of the American Legion. Ruffy was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Margaret “Peggy” Humphreys Rodden and his siblings, Josephine Mays, Ann Smith, Elizabeth Bunch and Daniel Rodden
Survivors: father of Mary Lou Worland, Daniel P. Rodden (Karen), Raymond A. Rodden, Jr. (Patricia), Ann Elkind (Ken), Francis Rodden (Linda), Timothy A. Rodden (Elsie), Rosemarie Boyle (Chris), Cecilia R. Forte, Mimi R. Loftus (Thomas) and John D. Rodden; also, survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren
Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM Friday, March 3, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone, PA 19022
Visitation: 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday and 8:00-9:15 AM Friday at the White-Luttrell Funeral Homes, ltd., 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park, PA 19078. Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery
