NETHER PROVIDENCE » Delaware County Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Friends of Delaware County Women’s Commission holds its annual Womenomics Forum Saturday, March 25, at the Springhaven Club, Wallingford. Nikki Johnson Huston, an attorney, is the keynote speaker with the topic “From Homeless to Lawyer.” Debbi Bromley, senior vice president of human resources, GENEX, also presents, with the topic “21st Century Opportunities.”
There are breakout sessions for the attendees to participate in smaller groups to identify issues of importance to them and obtain practical innovative ideas to improve their lives.

Community day May 13 in Middletown
MIDDLETOWN » Middletown Township celebrates its 23nd annual Community Day/Sunset Festival at the Penn State Brandywine Campus, 25 Yearsley Mill Road, Media, from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, May 13 (rain or shine). The event includes music for children and adults, dancing, games, car show, petting zoo and pony rides, a food court with local businesses, and beer and wine tastings.
The event provides opportunities for residents and local businesses to interact with the community. Sponsors are being sought to further their charitable commitment to the community. The committee is currently searching for volunteer participants and encourages anyone interested to sign up to assist with this fun-filled event.

Grange prepares for new season
HAVERFORD » The Historic Grange Estate opens its doors for its 42nd tour season on April 1. Tours of the mansion are available from 1-4 p.m. most Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 29. The last tour of the day begins at 3:30. Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for children 5-10 and free for those under the age of 5. Private group tours are available by appointment; call the office at 610-446-4958.
There will be no tours: Easter Sunday, April 16; May 20, Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 and 28; Haverford Township Day, Oct. 7, and Christmas Eve Day, Dec. 24.
