Chester may not have had as many athletes as many of the other teams at the Upper Darby Relays Saturday, but that did not stop the Clippers from bringing home a pile of medals.

Braheem Bishop, Lamaj Curry, James Jackson, Malachi Langley, Malik Langley, Mahki Little and Da’Juan Watson teamed up to win four gold medals.

Jackson and Little won the 300 intermediate hurdle relay. Jackson teamed up with the Langley brothers and Curry to claim gold in the 4 x 400. Bishop and Watson won the high jump relay, and Bishop, Little and the Langley brothers also took first in the 4 x 100. The Clippers also took fourth in the sprint medley relay.

Ridley also had a good day on the boys side. The Green Raiders won the 4 x 100 throwers relay and took second in both the 300 hurdles (Tony Graham and Ben Holder) and 4 x 400 relays. Haverford was first in the DMR. Alton McKenley and Tim O’Brien of Bonner & Prendergast placed second in the long jump relay.

Larry Coaxum was the individual winner in the triple jump and teamed with Ryan Macchiarelli to win the relay portion of the event.

Haverford’s Autum Francis and Cecilia Katcavage teammed up for a pair of gold medals to lead the action on the girls’ side. Francis and Katcavage were first in the discus and javelin relays. Katcavage was the individual winner in the shot put and teamed with Brinna Blair for second in the shot put relay.

Rachel Kent and Jordan Brown won the shot put relay to highlight a big day for Strath Haven. Dana Hubbell and Tess Bailey were second in the 300 hurdles relay. The Panthers also finished second in the 4 x 400, 4 x 800 and were third in the 4 x 1,600.

Host Upper Darby claimed a pair of gold medals. Anisah Richardson, Michelle Brown-Jones, Dominique Timmons and Tishun Graham won the 4 x 400. The Royals also captured the 4 x 100 throwers relay. Ridley crossed the finish line first in the sprint medley relay.
