SHE’S A LIFE SAVER

A very special thank you to a very special young lady who rescued an animal with a broken leg. She was the only one who stepped up to the plate in helping the injured animal. I always went to say a very special thank you to Dr. Larry and his awesome associates and staff for providing this animal with the proper medical care. They are all unsung heroes working together to help all the animals who have no “voice.” Thank you again and happy Easter to everyone.

BUMPS IN THE ROAD

I agree with the callers saying that overall potholes have been handled better this year than in the last few, but then this week I read about the string of accidents in Springfield. I guess we can’t win with Delco roadways – the more things change, the more they stay the same.

WE NEED OUR WHISTLES

To the caller in Boothwyn saying that trains shouldn’t blow their whistles early in the morning, I also live in Boothwyn and I live right down the street from the railroad tracks on Naamans Creek Road. Yes, the whistles in the early morning are somewhat annoying, but nobody wants tragedies like the one 20 years ago when a family of four was killed crossing railroad tracks. The whistles need to be there.

THAT’S THE TICKET

While I agree in spirit with “Just You Wait” about drivers’ behavior making the Conchester Highway dangerous, are we at the point in Sound Off where predicting car accident fatalities is what it takes to get a point across? Maybe the Times can get a celebrity dead poll going in here too while we’re at it. CYNICAL READER

CLUELESS ‘COACH’

To the “Coach From Clifton,” it must be great to think your opinion is the right opinion all the time. JEANETTE G.

BIG FAIL

To “Riddle Me This,” someone brings up the Democrats not living up to their “party of their working people” posturing, so you come back with Social Security? I don’t think bringing up people being forced to pay into a failing system is a way to win friends and influence people.

NO MORE, ‘MORE JODINE’

“More Jodine Please” says if “Concord Resident” “doesn’t like Jodine Mayberry’s so-called meanspirited columns should not read them if they don’t like them.” Well, they have a right to read them and not like them. So what’s “More Jodine Please” saying, don’t read it and shut up? So this caller doesn’t want people to exercise their right to free speech? If you don’t like it, then speak up and say why you don’t like it. Who is “More Jodine Please” to tell this person to don’t read it and shut up? What a joke. NOT LAUGHING

MEDICARE FOR ALL

I agree with the person saying universal health care is greatest form of health care we can have in the United States. Europe and Canada and all the rest have it. It’s only the rich Republicans and the rich pharmaceutical companies that don’t want this because you’re making money off the American people and they’re driving us into poverty. Wake up, America, and get 100 percent Medicare for everybody.

GET YOUR PHIL

What is the matter with the Phillies organization? You’ve got a hitting coach who’s a career .263 hitter and played for 13 different teams in the MLB, and I think one club in Japan, too. If he was any kind of hitter, I think don’t think he would have been with that many teams. For the Phillies fans, it’s going to be a long season.

HEY, BARRY!

Here’s a pop quiz for my fellow readers. Who made the following statements? “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan;” “There is not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS;” “All the chemical weapons have been removed from Syria.” Any guesses? None other than the Democrats’ hero who just left office.

CAN’T HELP STUPID

To “The Truth Hurts,” Al Gore did not turn anybody away from the antiglobal warming movement. The people who don’t believe in global warming are stupid Republicans, just like the same stupid Republicans who voted for Trump.
