Carol E. Ronan

Carol E. Ronan, 86 of Prospect Park, PA, died Monday, April 10th at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and the late Carrie Githens.

Carol was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. She was a member of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church in Norwood and was an active member of its senior group. Carol also enjoyed spending time with the over 50 club of Ridley Park. Carol was a registered nurse for over 40 years.

Pre-deceased by her husband Robert T. Ronan.

Survived by two daughters: Carol Lynn (George) Robbins of Upper Darby, PA and Mary Elizabeth (Mark Sr.) Haftl of Kennett Square, PA, Brotherin-law, Robert Todd; Sister in law, Annamae Ronan and 7 beloved grandchildren.

Friends and family may call Monday, April 17th from 7-9 PM and Tuesday from 9-10:30 AM at Kevin M. Lyons Funeral Service, 202 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA.

The funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at Saint Gabriel’s Church, 233 Mohawk Avenue, Norwood, PA at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
