Betsy Clark (Mary E.)

Betsy Clark (Mary E.) of Wallingford passed away on April 9th at Taylor Hospital where she was born in 1946.

Betsy attended Our Lady of Charity School and went on to graduate from Sun Valley High School (1964). She was a member of St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford. She worked for the Wallingford- Swarthmore School District for 38 years prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and visiting the casino. Along with her husband, she also enjoyed taking part in flea markets as a vendor. She was an avid fan of Phillies Baseball and Duke Basketball.

She was predeceased by her Husband, John P. Clark, Sr. who passed away on March 31, 2017; daughters, Lisa P. Clark (1968), and Ann-Marie Passerini (1995); Father, Leonard Simcox, Sister, Helen Cummings DelVecchio, and Stepfather, Harold Shelton. She is survived by her Son, John P. Clark, Jr., Mother, Helen Berry Simcox Shelton; Sisters, Teri McFadden (Mike), Barbara Starr (Bruce), Sue Glass (Joe), Maureen Simcox, Margie Smith (Bill); brothers Len, and Dan Simcox; grandchildren, Jessie and Jay Campbell-Clark and Vince Passerini and the extended Passerini family; 18 nieces and nephews; Step-brothers, John and Tom Shelton, and dear friend, Annamarie Masciantonio.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 12pm at St. John Chrysostom Church, 617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, Pa. Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday morning from 9:30-11:30 at the Carr Funeral Home 935 S. Providence Rd. (Rte. 320) Wallingford, PA. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Donations in her memory can be made to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or your favorite charity.
