Nancy J. Vining, 89, a resident of White Horse Village in Newtown Square, Pa. and a former resident of Swarthmore, Pa. and West Chester, Pa., passed away peacefully on April 10, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Howard and Janet Cliff. Nancy had resided at White Horse Village since 2008 having lived at Hershey’s Mill in West Chester and Swarthmore for many years prior to that.

Nancy was a well known award winning watercolor artist and her work was displayed throughout the Philadelph­ia area.

Nancy and her family enjoyed spending summers at Metis-sur-Mer on the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec, Canada. She was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Swarthmore, Pa. Most of all, she will be remembered as a woman who was devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Vining.

Nancy is survived by her children, Susan Moore, William H. (Jenny) Vining, Robert J. (Catherine) Vining, and Charles F. (Susan) Vining; her twelve grandchild­ren; her great-granddaugh­ter, Lila; and her sisters, Audrey Smith and Mary Ross.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, at 11 A.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 301 N. Chester Road, in Swarthmore, Pa. 19081. There will be a visitation time on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at the church.

Her burial in the church Memorial Garden will immediatel­y follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons made in Nancy’s memory to Trinity Episcopal Church at the above address would be appreciate­d by her family.
