EDDYSTONE >> Police are continuing to review video and sort through information from three incidents involving mostly juveniles Monday night.

As of Wednesday, according to Police Chief Edward Mokshefsky, five juveniles have been cited for disorderly conduct; three juvenile petitions were filed for assault and related offenses; and a warrant was expected to be issued for an adult for assault and related offenses.

“We may be filing more charges,” he said.

According to Mokshefsky, two of the calls involved large groups of juveniles, as many as 30 each time, in the area of 10th Street and Saville Avenue.

For some unknown reason, Mokshefsky said, “There seems to be groups of juveniles who cannot get along. It’s like a big group mentality ,,, Whatever the reason is, we staying on top of it.”

According to Mokshefsky, the first call in the area of the 1200 block of East Ninth Street was received at 8:15 p.m. and involved a juvenile threatening to damage property belonging to the family of another juvenile. A police officer was still taking that report when the second call came in for a large group of juveniles at 10th and Saville at 8:26 p.m., and a third call for that same location at 8:51 p.m.

“It’s not going to be tolerated,” Mokshefsky said, referring to juvenile misconduct. “Other communities are having similar problems.”

Mokshefsky said the borough is planning to put out a warning message to residents, similar to one released this week in Springfield. are
