John J. “Special K” Kuzmick of Aston, PA, formerly of Aldan, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday April 18, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Born March 10, 1948 in Philadelph­ia to the late Ted and Catherine Kuzmick, he was a 1966 graduate of West Catholic High School. He proudly worked for the Steamfitte­r’s Local Union 420 for over 40 years before retiring in 2007. He enjoyed working out at the gym, watching sports, and spending countless hours on the beach down the shore. His greatest accomplish­ment was his loving family and they all loved him just as much. He would always proudly show them off whenever he could. He set an amazing example of what it means to be a caring husband, Dad, Pop Pop, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a man who truly lived the “High Life”.

He is survived by his lovingly devoted wife of 49 years Gloria “Buffy” (nee Morgan), children John (Chrissy), Neen (Mike) Brannan, Colie (Greg) Risnychok, Kevin (Tiffany), and Catherine; his ten grandchild­ren John, Jason, Olivia, Maeve, Nora, Morgan, Emma, Mack, Colin and Ben; Siblings, Ted, Kathy (Tom) McGrath, Steve (Debbie), Michael (Barbara), and the late Susan McCaughan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday April 24th at 6:00pm at O’Leary Funeral Home 640 E. Springfiel­d Rd., Springfiel­d, PA 19064 and on Tuesday April 25th at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Manoa Church, 105 Wilson Ave, Havertown, PA 19083. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
