Focus groups set for Chester Upland superintendent search
Chester Upland School District parents/community/stakeholders are invited to take part in a focus group (small discussion group) about the search for the new superintendent. The focus group sessions are held: Monday, May 1, at 6 p.m. at Chester High School; Tuesday, May 2, at 6 p.m. at STEM Academy; and Thursday, May 4, at 6 p.m. at Toby Farms Intermediate School.
The focus group provides an opportunity to find out more about the search process and give input into key areas to assist in finding the ideal candidate for the next superintendent. The data collected during the focus groups will be used during the course of the interview process.
The focus group is led by administrators from the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU), who is conducting the search on the district’s behalf. They will ask a series of questions to gauge ideas, challenges and concerns about the district and its potential new Superintendent, while ensuring a frank and open discussion.
Participants may register for one of the sessions by calling or emailing LaTasha Dotson at 610-938-9000, ext. 2056 or ldotson@dciu. org by noon on May 1.
