Robert M. “Bob” Willauer, Sr. age 93, of Media, PA, died Monday, April 24, 2017 surrounded by his family.

Bob was employed with Scott Paper for 37 years, until retiring in 1986. Robert was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a highly decorated veteran serving in the South Pacific aboard the U.S.S Langley an aircraft carrier. He was an S.S.M.L 2/c. His decoration­s include a Pacific Ribbon with 10 Stars, Philippine Ribbon with 2 Stars, Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, Combat Action Ribbon and a Navy Unit Commendati­on Ribbon.

Bob was a parishione­r of the Church of St. Joseph. He was a life member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion Post #926, and a member of the Navy League. Bob was an avid Phillies fan and enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling. Most of all, Bob was devoted to his family.

Predecease­d by 5 brothers and 6 sisters.

Survivors: Wife of 71 years: Dolores (Brinzo) Willauer. Son: Robert M. (the late Jeanne) Willauer, Jr. Daughter: Lynn (Frank) Soscia. Grandchild­ren: Robert, Dani, Frank and Brian. Also survived by a beloved Niece Gert (Al) Meekins

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 29th at 10:00AM at the Church of St. Joseph, 3255 Concord Road, Aston, PA 19015.

Visitation: Friday, April 28th from 7:00-9:00PM and Saturday, April 29th from 8:30-9:30AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Interment: Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
