Ruth D. Fisher (nee Deitsch)

Ruth D. Fisher (nee Deitsch), age 93, of Media, PA, formerly of Springfield, PA, passed away on April 20, 2017.

Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Romeo T. and Minnie Deitsch (nee Hutzler).

Ruth was a graduate of Western High School in Detroit, MI. She received her B.A. and Master’s degrees from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church and also a member of Middletown Presbyterian Church in Media, where she was employed as the organist from 1986-1996. She was a lifelong member of the American Guild of Organists.

Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Fisher and her sister, Norma Bernard. She is survived by her loving children Donald G. Fisher, Laurel R. Fisher (Robert Fabrikant) M. and Paul S. Fisher (Karen) and her 8 loving grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Graveside Service Saturday, April 29, 2017, 12 Noon Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA and to her Memorial Service at 1:30 PM at Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Road, Media, PA followed by a luncheon reception.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ruth’s memory to the American Guild of Organists, Philadelphia Chapter, www.agophila. org of which she was a life long member, would be appreciated.
