PHILADELPHIA >> If you’re going to the Penn Relays, take the train. It’s always the best way to get to Franklin Field, especially this year with the NFL Draft in town, too.

If you can’t get there, NBC Sportsnet has added a one-hour session on Friday to the 2½ hours it will broadcast Saturday starting at 12:30 p.m.

The highlight of the Friday broadcast, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will be the college men’s Championship of America DMR. The high school girls 4 x 400, high school boys DMR and the college women’s sprint medley relay also are on the schedule for that time.

The highlights of Saturday’s broadcast are the six races in USA vs. World series, which features teams from the Bahamas, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Haita, Nigeria and the British Virgin Islands.

You will be able to see every Championship of America race during that broadcast, including the college men’s 4 x mile and the Catholic League boys 4 x 400.

Among the athletes competing for team USA are two-time Olympic gold medal winner Tianna Barltoletta. She won the long jump at the Rio Olympics. Fellow gold medal winners English Gardner of Voorhees, New Jersey, Natasha Hastings and Morolake Akinosun are among the team USA pool. Olympian Wallace Spearmon (2008) heads up the men’s squad for Team USA.

Two-time Olympic gold medal winner Elaine Thompson, and three-time medal winner Kerron Stewart are expected to compete for Jamaica.

The full lineup for all the USA vs. World races will be announced Friday.
