Sound Off: Call 484-521-3180

- getting their manners. SMARTEN UP

A CLASS ACT

I just want to say thank you to the wonderful lady not only found my wallet in the Drexel Line Shoprite parking lot on April 22, but also came to our house and dropped the wallet off. I don’t know who she is and I wish I could know. Thank you for being so generous with your time. Thanks again. ROBERT F.

YO, FORGET ABOUT SOUND OFF

To “Yo, Pick Up The Phone,” I wonder the same thing about when people complain about illegal parking, trash and property maintenance problems, etc. Do people think municipal code enforcers are like organized crime task forces and have a network of confidential informants? I guess it’s easier to call Sound Off to complain than actually call your municipality and do something about the problem.

THESE STUDENTS SHINE

It was wonderful cover story in the Sunday Times, “High Q-uality,” about the Hi-Q students in Delaware County. Congratulations to them all.

GO PHILS

Extra, extra! Read all about it! Phillies hit backto-back home runs and sweep the Braves. Jump on the bandwagon now while there’s room. DIAMOND JIM IN DARBY

A WASTE IN ASTON

Aston – the land of taxes. Wasteful spending by commissioners increased taxes way too much this year. These ridiculous welcome signs are nothing but moneyeaters. They are costing us an enormous amount of money with no return.

OH, THE CHILDREN

This is all the people in Sound Off calling other people’s names – you’re really setting a good example for the children. Names can hurt just as much as physical altercations. That is why he hears so much bullying today, and it’s all social media driving this somebody’s children to suicide because of being called names. Wake up and start setting a good example and stop calling people morons and idiots. Now we know where our children of today’s society are

THE STUPID TRUTH HURTS

To “The Truth Hurts,” the fact is Bush left Obama a mess, and Obama left Trump a far bigger mess. And since the Democrats claim to be such intellectuals, thanks for showing the truth there by using “stupid” three times in a couple of sentences. Your vocabulary is truly impressive.

A TV SOLUTION

To “A TV Problem,” if you live in Glenolden, they are having a pick up this Saturday where they will be picking up old televisions and other electronics. Call the borough if you do, or if not, call your municipality to see if they have any disposal programs like this.

ANOTHER TV SOLUTION

To “A TV Problem,” the Best Buy on Route 202 in Wilmington, Del., is taking old TVs.

OFF THE CLIFF

There are 28 percent of people in this country who will agree with everything the Republicans do and say, no matter how negatively it affects them. The one thing I can say about Democrats is, when Democratic officials do things that we don’t think are right for us, we will call up on the carpet for it. But Republicans are so ideologically driven that even when Republicans are hurting them, they can’t see it for some reason. And that’s a sad, sad thing.

GO GREEN

Another idea I have to help clean up air is plant as many low-maintenance plants as possible along all the interstate highways. Instead of using concrete sound barriers, use carbon monoxide-eating plants. JUST WONDERING DAN

WHY BARRY FAILED

Thanks for caller for the education on Obama’s compassion. Let’s add that he is an intelligent, accomplished, engaging, historic, eloquent man, who I admire greatly as a person – but he was an ineffectual, weak leader with an atrocious foreign policy who did little to help the communities he sought to protect. His inexperience allowed establishment Democrats Pelosi and Reid to hijack his presidency.
