Alexander “Alex” Quaciari, age 97, passed away on April 25, 2017 at Naamans Creek Country Manor in Garnet Valley.

Alex was born and raised in Arsita P. Teramo, Abruzzi, Italy and moved to the United States at the age of 16 and resided in Chester before moving to Brookhaven in 1965 where he lived for 50+ years.

Alex was employed by DuPont Co. in Deepwater, NJ. where he worked for more than 25 years before his retirement. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII.

A devout catholic, Alex was an active parishione­r of Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church in Marcus Hook and a former parishione­r of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chester. Alex was an avid bowler and member of the Abruzzi-Malese Associatio­n in Chester.

He was the son of the late Louis and Carmela (DiCarlo) Quaciari, husband of the late Anne (Zuccarino) Quaciari, and brother of the late Armand Quaciari.

Survivors: daughter: Carmela A. Cribb (Robert) of Aston; sister: Amelia A’Intino of Pocono, PA; granddaugh­ter: Christina Burns; and great grandson: Mason Burns.

Visitation: Monday from 8:30 - 9:45 am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home Ltd., 5980 Chichester Ave., Aston.

Funeral Mass: Monday at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception of Lourdes Church, 8th & Green Streets, Marcus Hook.

Burial: Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood.
