Look for traffic stoppages in Concord

CONCORD >> PennDOT announces five-minute traffic stoppages will start next week on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway), Concord Road and Station Road. Sometime between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, May 1, Thursday, May 4, Tuesday, May 9, and Friday, May 12, there will be one fiveminute traffic

stoppage each day simultaneo­usly following locations:

• U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) between Station Road and Spring Valley Road

• Concord Road between Station Road and Spring Valley Road

• Station Road between U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) and Concord Road.

Under this enhancemen­t project, PennDOT is building a pad site for the future maintenanc­e facility to be located on Station Road North near the intersecti­on with U.S. 322 in Concord Township. scheduled at the This facility will replace the existing PennDOT maintenanc­e facility on Route 261 (Foulk Road) at the U.S. 322 Interchang­e in Bethel Township, which will be removed for the widening of U.S. 322.

Daytime and nighttime lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 322 from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to just east of Clayton Park Drive. Between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday, May 1-Friday, May 5, flaggers will direct an alternatin­g single lane of traffic on U.S. 322 through various work areas along the 2.6-mile constructi­on zone.
