Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Engineering District 6-0 announces the following road closures and construction work in Delaware County:
Aldan, Upper Darby
• Oak Avenue, lane restrictions Willow and Hawthorne avenues, and Jeffrey Road, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 1-5
Brookhaven, Middletown
• Creek Road, closed with posted detoured between Bridgewater Road and Dutton Mill roads, and Dutton Mill and Knowlton roads, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. through Dec. 31.
Chester
• East 12th Street, shoulder closures between Edgmont Avenue and Potter Street, 24 hour restrictions May 1-14

Look for traffic stoppages in Concord
CONCORD >> PennDOT announces five-minute traffic stoppages will start next week on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway), Concord Road and Station Road. Sometime between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, May 1, Thursday, May 4, Tuesday, May 9, and Friday, May 12, there will be one fiveminute traffic
stoppage each day simultaneously following locations:
• U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) between Station Road and Spring Valley Road
• Concord Road between Station Road and Spring Valley Road
• Station Road between U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) and Concord Road.
Under this enhancement project, PennDOT is building a pad site for the future maintenance facility to be located on Station Road North near the intersection with U.S. 322 in Concord Township. scheduled at the This facility will replace the existing PennDOT maintenance facility on Route 261 (Foulk Road) at the U.S. 322 Interchange in Bethel Township, which will be removed for the widening of U.S. 322.
Daytime and nighttime lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 322 from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to just east of Clayton Park Drive. Between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and 7 p.m.-6 a.m. Monday, May 1-Friday, May 5, flaggers will direct an alternating single lane of traffic on U.S. 322 through various work areas along the 2.6-mile construction zone.
